Padstow Sailing club’s aim is to get young people from Padstow and the surrounding area on the water, in a safe and controlled environment, to experience the fun and joy of sailing.
We have fantastic facilities at the club for learning to sail, together with equipment such as Tera’s, Fusions and Wayfarers, all ideally suited to young sailors.
Using a mixture of water-based training and on shore training, when weather conditions are not safe, the youngsters are introduced to both the theory and practicalities of sailing as they follow the Royal Yachting Association syllabus.
The junior sailing programme is a great way for young people to experience sailing and sets out to offer a quality experience that will encourage them and their families to get involved as shore based helpers, safety boat support and instructors where qualified.
The Junior Sailing Programme is strongly supported by our club members and volunteers, members of the local community, the Padstow Sea Cadets and the Padstow Harbour Commissioners, all of whom contribute to the aim of supporting local youngsters, encouraging them through water activities, education, enjoyment and improved water safety.
